“I am in love with horses and dogs and fascinated by animal behavior. I’m so thankful to have a job where I can be inspired by animals and their people each day, and spend my time learning about the animals I love so much.
My journey with horses has allowed me to be influenced by a huge variety of people in the industry, from those wearing jodhpur boots to cowboy boots, and a bit of everything in between. I feel lucky to have experienced such a variety of approaches, as it helps me to empathize with each animal and each person’s process as we grow together.
I’m a curious person by nature, and spend my time soaking up as much knowledge as I can from all directions. I believe that this leads to ideas you might never have seen coming, and my animal behavior work is infused with thoughts from even the most unlikely sources. I love having the horses as my outlet for such creativity and reflection.
My favorite way to start a morning is with a fresh bagel and orange juice, and a good burrito is really the way to my heart. I enjoy traveling with my thoughtful husband, Tye, who kindly tolerates my debilitating animal obsession and supports me endlessly. I am always surrounded by a cloud of cattle dogs, who keep me challenged and entertained at all times!”
